Team Southern Indiana 2013 trailed by as many as 10-points early in the second half but rallied to edge the Louisville Panthers 60-51 this afternoon to win the eighth-grade division of the Backboard Breaker tournament at Hoops in Louisville, Ky.

Silver Creek’s Aidan McEwen scored 16 points to lead TSI in the title game. Kyle Callahan (Madison) and Garrett Vick (Borden) each chipped in 11, and Justin Yates (Corydon) added nine.

The TSI 2013 roster also includes: Cameron Jacobs (Scribner/New Albany), Billy Kirchgessner (Borden), Calvin McEwen (Silver Creek), Taylor Rhoten (Shawe Memorial), Tyler Ross (Corydon) and Kortrell White (Parkview/Jeffersonville).

TSI 2013 shellacked the Danville Dawgs in the semifinal round.
