Sunday Fall League: Boys’ High School Division – Week 2

Week two scores and highlights from the HoosierHillsHoops.com Sunday Fall League Boys’ High School Division at Nolan Fieldhouse:

Clippers 54, Nuggets 49: Rock Creek’s Korey Gilbert scored 14 points and Crawford County’s Alex Baker added 11 as the Clippers edged the Nuggets. Clarksville’s Cory Brown led the Nuggets in defeat with 17, and Jeffersonville’s V.J. Billups chipped in 12.

Mavericks 54, Pacers 43: Corydon’s Ryan Coffman totaled 15 points and New Albany’s Morgan Toliver chipped in eight as the Mavericks got past the Pacers. Switzerland County’s Keegan Kincaid and Silver Creek’s Grant Meyer led the Pacers with 15 and 13, respectively.

Lakers 38, Pistons 35: New Albany’s Jermaine Parrish finished with 11 points and Austin’s Kameron Draper added seven to lead the Lakers to the victory. Eastern Pekin’s Todd Albertson and Silver Creek’s Zach Davidson each scored nine in the loss for the Pistons.

Cavaliers 56, Jazz 55: Brownstown’s Spencer Allman totaled 18 points and Crawford County’s Parker Hudson added 14 as the Cavaliers squeezed past the Jazz in overtime. The Rock Creek duo of Keontez Malone and De’Jan Garner finished with 23 and 15 points in the loss.

Celtics 54, Suns 46: Taylor Banks and Matt Bolin, both of Salem, finished with 17 and 15 points to lead the Celtics past the Suns. Floyd Central’s Connor Schellenberg and Borden’s Cody Bachman paced the Suns in defeat with 12 each.

Spurs 53, Heat 50: Crawford County’s Jordan Newkirk racked up a game-high 24 points and Charlestown’s Kyle Hayes chipped in 12 , and the Spurs edged the Heat.  Heritage Hills’ Devon Merder and Northeast Dubois’ Bryce Huebner scored 13 and 12, respectively, for the Heat.

Mavericks 46, Pistons 37: Corydon’s Tyler Ross dropped 154 points and Toliver added 11 as the Mavericks got past the Pistons. Albertson led the Pistons with 10.

Trail Blazers 72, Bucks 59: Columbus East’s Josh Williams scored 17, Greensburg’s Macy Holdsworth added 15 and Bedford North Lawrence’s Morgan Cummings 14 as the Trail Blazers had no problem with the Bucks. Jeffersonville’s Trice Whaley and Scottsburg’s Jeremy Ohanis paced the Bucks with 13 each.

Clippers 66, Lakers 57: The Rock Creek duo of Shaquille Wilson and Korey Gilbert netted 14 and 13 points, respectively, and the Clippers beat the Lakers. New Albany’s Parker Henes racked up 18 points in the loss for the Lakers.

Nuggets 56, Pacers 47: Billups poured in 19 points and Borden’s Garrett Ellis contributed 18 as the Nuggets defeated the Pacers. Kincaid netted 22 points in the loss for the Pacers.

Magic 53, Bulls 49: Jeffersonville’s Darryl Baker totaled 20 points and Silver Creek’s Jacob Brooks got 11 as the Magic beat the Bulls. Henryville’s Andrew Jones and Jennings County’s Brad Hunt scored 14 and 11 in defeat.

Celtics 51, Heat 43: Seymour’s Matthew Lucas netted 19 points and Banks and Bolin each added 15 as the Celtics upended the Heat. Bedford North Lawrence’s Matt Garrison and Cummings scored nine a piece in the defeat.
