Sunday Fall League: Girls’ High School Division – Week 5

Week five scores and highlights from the HoosierHillsHoops.com Sunday Fall League Girls’ High School Division at Nolan Fieldhouse:

Quarterfinals

Stars 38, Fever 29: South Central’s Shelby Miller netted 13 and Brownstown’s Kaley Wilkerson added 10 as the Stars got past the Fever. Southwestern’s Brandi Ponder and Madison’s Kelsey Block finished with 11 and 1 for the Fever.

Mercury 27, Dream 16: Silver Creek’s Carissa Brown totaled eight points to lead the Mercury to victory. The Dream were led in defeat by Jennings County’s Summer Sanders (six).

Semifinals

Sparks 48, Stars 40: Silver Creek’s Alexis McFarland finished with 16 points and Corydon’s Heather Uhl added 14 to lead the Sparks past the Stars. Shelby Miller led the Stars in defeat with 16, and Wilkerson chipped in 10.

Storm 45, Mercury 44: Scottsburg’s Kelsey Smith totaled 13 points and Clarksville’s Tionna Peters chipped in 10 as the Storm edged out the Mercury. Floyd Central’s Emily Ziegler led the Mercury in defeat with 12, and Brown finished with nine.

Championship

Sparks 47, Storm 44: McFarland got 17 and Uhl added 16 to lead the Sparks over the Storm to win the girls’ high school division title of the first annual HoosierHillsHoops.com Sunday Fall League.

The Storm were led in defeat by Silver Creek’s Mandi Martin (13).
