INDIANAPOLIS — For the second straight game, the Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers. On Wednesday night, the Celtics beat Indiana 119-100 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.’

The Celtics led nearly the entire way and by as many as 23 points in the victory.

Romeo Langford, a former New Albany and Indiana University star, scored three points in 3 minutes. His 3-pointer with 2:48 remaining gave Boston its largest lead of the night at 114-92.

Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 33 points. He also had 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots in the win. Myles Turner’s 18 points paced Indiana, which has lost eight of its last nine games.

The Celtics, who improve to 21-21 with their third straight win, go to Philadelphia on Friday at 7:30 p.m. At 23-17, the 76ers are three games ahead of Boston and currently fifth in the Eastern Conference. Boston is tenth.

The Pacers (15-27) stay home for a date with defending Western Conference champion Phoenix (31-9) on Friday at 7 p.m.
