Hatton scores 4 in Tribe loss at Towson

TOWSON, Md. — Freshman Langdon Hatton scored four points in 16 minutes off the William & Mary bench Thursday evening at SECU Arena.

The former North Harrison star went 2 for 5 from the filed in the loss, which drops the Tribe to 5-20 overall and 4-8 in the Colonial.

Towson, which got 18 points from junior forward Charles Thompson and 17 from junior guard Jason Gibson, trailed 35-33 at halftime before outscoring William & Mary 42-25 in the second half. The Tigers are now 18-7 and their 9-3 mark trails UNC-Wilmington by a game atop the CAA standings.

Senior guard Brandon Carroll led the Tribe with 18 points and freshman guard Tyler Rice contributed 11 points and six assists.

Hatton and the Tribe visit James Madison (13-10, 4-8) on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
