IU Southeast suffered a 40-point road loss Tuesday at Georgetown College. The host Tigers led by 14 points at halftime then outscored the Grenadiers 57-31 in the second half for a 105-65 victory at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym.
Junior Glenn Hill Jr. (Louisville) led the Grenadiers with 15 points and freshman Gabriel Casillas Cruz (Puerto Rico) scored 14 points in 18 minutes off the IU Southeast bench in the loss. IUS shot just 34 percent from the floor (25 for 72), turned the ball over 12 times and scored just two points at the free throw line.
Junior forward Drew LaMont — a transfer from Wyoming — went 7 for 14 from behind the 3-point arc and scored 25 points to pace Georgetown. He also had 10 rebounds in the victory’s which makes the Tigers 8-2 on the season.
IU Southeast (3-9) is off until Saturday when it hosts IU Kokomo (11-2) in an RSC contest at 1 p.m. at the IUS Activities Building.
