DAVIDSON, N.C. — After four straight games in double-figures, including a pair of 17-point outings, William & Mary freshman Langdon Hatton scored just 4 points Saturday in a 70-46 loss at Davidson.

Hatton, a former North Harrison standout, scored all 4 of his points at the foul line, going 4 for 8. He attempted just one field goal and pulled down a pair of rebounds, including one on the offensive end, Saturday at John M. Bank Arena.

The loss was the Tribe’s eighth in nine games.

Davidson (6-2) scored the game’s first 9 points and led 33-14 after a jumper by sophomore guard Grant Huffman with 4:01 to go in the first half. The Tribe cut the deficit to 15 at halftime, but the Wildcats pushed the lead back to 21 at 50-29 after a jumper by freshman guard Desmond Watson. Davidson’s largest lead was the final score.

William & Mary shot just 26.1 percent (12 of 46) and was out-rebounded 49-29. Sophomore guard Connor Kochera scored 18 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and had 3 assists to lead the Tribe, who had just 12 baskets in the loss.
