Jacobi, Rockets blast Central Michigan, 82-54

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.Kooper Jacobi scored 4 points and his Toledo Rockets crushed host Central Michigan 82-54 in a Mid-American contest Tuesday at McGuirk Arena.

Jacobi, a freshman from Silver Creek, was 1 for 2 from the field and made both of his free throws. He also had 6 rebounds and an assist in 9 minutes off the Toledo bench.

The Rockets (10-4, 2-1 MAC) led 44-33 at the half and held a 48-43 lead 5 minutes into the second half. That’s when they went on a 34-11 run to close out the contest.

Sophomore guard Ryan Rollins led Toledo with 21 points, freshman guard Ra’heim Moss added 13 and junior forward JT Shumate finished with 12.

Central Michigan (2-11, 1-1) got 14 points from freshman guard Kevin Miller.

Toledo hosts Northern Illinois (3-7) on Saturday at 2 p.m. That game can be seen on ESPN3.
