FRANKLIN — Heartland Conference-leading Hanover jumped out to a 12-4 lead on the road Wednesday at Franklin and cruised to a 92-67 victory of its rival.

The Panthers (17-3, 13-2 HCAC) won for the 10th time in 11 games and can clinch a share of the conference championship by winning any of its final three regular-season games at Manchester (Saturday), at home against Transy (Feb. 15) and at Mt. St. Joseph (Feb. 18).

Hanover shot 54.2 percent from the field (54.2 percent), including 64.3 in the second half (18 of 28), and held the Grizzlies to 26 of 63 on the night (41.3 percent). Sophomore guard Max Greenamoyer, junior forward Ty Houston and sophomore forward Max Munoz combined for 59 points and 18 rebounds.

Greenamoyer (Zionsville/University) led the way with 23 points, Houston (Union, Ky./Cooper) had 20 and Munoz *Indianapolis/Southport) added 16 in the victory. Former New Albany star and Hanover senior Isaac Hibbard finished with nine points, seven assists, four rebounds, a block and a steal. Noah Williams (Jeffersonville/Christian Academy) contributed three points, three rebounds and two assists for the Panthers, who face Manchester (8-13, 7-7 HCAC) at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Spartans have lost four of their last five games, including a 71-60 defeat at Rose-Hulman on Wednesday evening.

Franklin got 11 points apiece from junior forward Ryan Wiggins (Brownsburg) and freshman Lynn King (South Bend/Adams). Sophomore guard TJ Deere — a former teammate of Munoz at Cooper (Ky.) — added 10.
