BOYS’ PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK | Harritt helps Highlanders shoot down Jeff

Floyd Central senior Cole Harritt went 6 for 7 and knocked down all four of his 3-point attempts for 16 points in the championship game of the Class 4A Seymour Sectional on Saturday night for the Hoosier Hills Hoops Boys’ Performance of the Week.

After going scoreless in the first quarter, Harritt scored eight points apiece in the second and third quarters to help Floyd Central (20-4) win its second sectional championship in four years.

Harritt also had four rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot. Harritt and the Highlanders will face Franklin (11-14) in this Saturday’s Seymour Regional. The winner gets either Evansville North (16-10) or Bloomington North (22-3) in Saturday evening’s regional championship.

OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES
Kyle McGinnis, Scottsburg: The Warrior junior hit eight 3-pointers and scored 26 points as Scottsburg beat Madison 81-48 in the opening round of the Salem Sectional last Wednesday.
Brysen Montgomery, Austin: Montgomery finished with 33 points and eight rebounds in the Eagles’ season-ending 52-50 loss to Austin last Tuesday.
Ethan Oakley, North Harrison: Oakley had 190 points and nine rebounds and helped hold Scottsburg star Hayden Cutter to five points as the Cougars beat the Warriors 57-47 to win their first sectional championship since 1996.
Brandon Rayzer-Moore, Jeffersonville: Rayzer-Moore went 10 for 16 and finished with 22 points to help the Red Devils take down Bedford North Lawrence in the first round of the Seymour Sectional last Tuesday.
Jacob Seward, Clarksville: Seward had a game-high 18 points — on six 3-pointers — as Clarksville’s season ended with a 57-54 loss to Southwestern in last Friday’s semifinals.
