Romeo Langford

BOSTONRomeo Langford appears to be back in the Boston Celtics’ regular rotation.

For the third straight game, the former New Albany and Indiana University star played significant minutes off the Boston bench. He scored 12 points Friday against the Portland Trailblazers, but Boston suffered a 109-105 loss at TD Garden to fall to 23-24 on the season.

Langford got the second-most minutes of any Boston reserve, going 5 for 7 from the field in 23 minutes. He was 2 for 4 from behind the 3-point arc and added a pair of rebounds and a pair of blocked shots. The Celtics were led Jayson Tatum’s 27 points and Jaylen Brown’s 22. Boston is currently in the 10th in the Eastern Conference, a half-game ahead of the Knicks for the final playoff spot.

Portland won without All-NBA performer Damian Lillard, thanks to 29 points from Josef Nurkic and 24 from C.J. McCollum.

The Celtics go to Washington to face the 23-23 Wizards on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
